In 2016, one of the satellites that photographed Antarctica made a remarkable discovery there that resembled a massive cave or tunnel opening.
This “entrance” is around 90 meters broad and 30 meters tall, which are incredible dimensions. Is this a naturally occurring or man-made formation? Many academics still disagree over this.
The Antarctic is now a desolate, arid 14 million square kilometer ice desert. At the coldest moment, when the air temperature ranges from -65 to -80 degrees Celsius, the wind may reach speeds of up to 300 km/h. Except for a few nations’ temporary research outposts, there are no permanent settlements on this continent. Have these circumstances ever existed in Antarctica, though?

On both the Piri Reis and the Oronteus Finaeus maps, which also feature longitudinal lines, the Antarctic continent seems to be devoid of ice.
This continent is shown very accurately and without an ice shell on the Piri Reis map.
This is circumstantial proof that intelligent life formerly flourished on the two enormous islands of Antarctica, which were once joined by a thousand-year-old ice shell.
But were these highly evolved civilizations of the past capable of producing such artificial artifacts as this enormous gateway if there was technology available at the time that made it feasible to produce accurate maps of the continents?
By no means, though, is this the sole “entry to the tunnel.” Another structure that is remarkably similar to the original one may be found a few kilometers away, on the opposite side of the hill. Some scholars believe that this building was created.

Virtual archaeologists saw the entrance itself and a large “hatch” in the image, which is a mechanism that opens and closes this entry in the shape of a convex gray metal door with enormous rivets all the way around.
The first discovery of these things was made by the American explorer Joseph Skipper on Queen Mary Land in the eastern section of Antarctica. Skipper has spent many years investigating numerous fascinating locations on our planet and natural phenomena from images of scientific and research expeditions.

We may thus reach the perfectly tenable conclusion that a highly sophisticated civilisation lived on the continent of Antarctica in the distant past given that these constructions seem to be mainly abandoned.
The starting melting of the Antarctic ice sheet and climate change are likely to blame for these “entrances” to a specific “underground metropolis” or “base.”
But are these subsurface facilities still being used?
Do you believe that, despite some hypotheses to the contrary, there are just too many coincidences for this to be an optical illusion or a natural growth?
